Why would a Muslim man choose to marry a wealthy woman if he has no rights to her wealth?

In Islam, a man is responsible for providing financially for his wife and family, and he cannot demand or rely on his wife’s wealth for household expenses or other needs. However, there are cases where a man might consider a woman’s financial situation in marriage, often for reasons related to stability, security, or compatibility, rather than direct financial gain. Here are some possible reasons: 

1. **Shared Goals and Security**: A financially stable partner can offer reassurance of a stable lifestyle and ease financial pressures. The man might feel that both partners being financially comfortable helps build a more stable foundation, where each can contribute, by choice, to creating a quality life together. 

2. **Support for Shared Ambitions**: Sometimes, both partners aim to build a certain lifestyle, start a business, or support extended family. If the woman voluntarily chooses to invest in their shared goals, it can be a gesture of partnership that aligns with mutual ambitions.

3. **Respect and Independence**: Some men respect the idea of a woman who is independent and financially secure, seeing this as a source of strength in the relationship. This can foster a partnership where each person feels empowered and respected in their role.

4. **Avoiding Financial Dependence on In-Laws**: In some cultural settings, the wife’s family may prefer that she is financially secure before marriage, ensuring her independence. The man, while respecting this, may view her financial independence as a way to avoid burdens or complications.

While a man can’t take from his wife's wealth without her willing consent, the presence of mutual respect and voluntary financial cooperation can make the relationship feel more balanced and less dependent on any single person’s resources.
